COMMUNICATION SKILLS:WHY MEN DON'T TEXT OR CALL BACK

It hurts when a woman you like asks you if you are still interested in her because you guys haven't talked in a while. A lot of times it's nothing personal against the lady friend, men just be going through shit and don't really want to talk to anybody. You ever try to hit a chick up after a while and she tells you, "all dogs come home eventually" smh (talking about, "you for the streets" lmao)? Well it be like that.

As a man its stressful constantly needing to get to that money and be "the provider". In fact as a man it feels like your woman, your family, your people, the whole world damn near will tell you to get on real quick if you don't have that money or you're not looking good. It hurts to really care about someone but in their eyes you can see that they are kinda shallow/superficial. Conversely sometimes one wonders how much respect a man will have for his woman and peoples if he feels like, "all is forgiven, theirs nothing money can't fix".

Either way its not healthy to only fuck with people when they have money or they look nice no matter the connection wether its with strangers, business acquaintances, etc. Especially as men from diverse [1]"racialized groups", and blue collar working class guys of all ethnicities we face discrimination out in the world.Theirs thoughts that weigh on men "of color" in particular. Only being allowed to be born into and the most dangerous, polluted, and poor neighborhoods due solely based on the color of your skin or spelling of your name due to housing red lining practices (aka modern racial segregation) is not easy. Sadly this is just the beginning of a life long battle dodging institutional racism. Police brutality is huge growing up Black or Latino, it's disappointing to feel like you're looked down on because you grew up in a tough neighborhood or without money. As a person from a “racialized group”, I cant even count the number of times I have been trying to shop somewhere only to have the store security constantly follow me around. That is just the tip of the ice berg "a mote of dust suspended in a sun beam ",how Carl Sagan said. We face sexual fetishization from some and body shaming from others if our physiques don't confirm to the elusive heights, achievements, power and net worths "required" by many potential partners.

Inner city gun violence as we get more older, mass incarceration as we continue growing,

Once we are of age to enter the workforce we are seen as savages, brutes, ignorant thugs, thieves. A classic back handed compliment is the " he is so well spoken" trope. A shock that someone from a certain background isn't as ignorant as you thought.

Then racism in healthcare as the "cherry on top"if by the grace of God we make it to advanced old age as Black/Brown men and rely on people for healthcare who don't value us, are all in a days work throughout our lives for some of the people who quietly build our roads, sweep our streets and raise families. To give all your money and time to people, stores/brands, partners, institutions and family who in many ways hate you is not easy. Some men shrug it off with a level of confidence and self assurance i'm sure a lot of us are inspired by and work towards. However as a man its easy to understand why some could feel like " What if I was down bad would you hold me down ? Theirs a phrase in the hood, its nothing to a boss.Their is a sentiment of hey I have an okay eye for getting dressed if I don't do anything else i'm going to get a couple dollaz put it together right and make this humble drip look like something. Still what if I couldn't though you know? I'm considered no good if I don't have money and/or i'm looking good dressed nice smelling right styling and profiling i'll reach out when i'm back on my feet".

"The Ontario Human Rights Commission had settled on a term to use in reference to

people of color — "racialized people." The commission wrote:"Recognizing that race is

a social construct, the Commission describes people as 'racialized person' or 'racialized group'

instead of the more outdated and inaccurate terms 'racial minority,' 'visible minority,'

'person of colour' or 'non-White.' "
