Deeper then the food we eat is the vitamins and nutrients that make up our food. What is the point of eating something if it doesn't help us feel better but actually makes us feel worse after? This all comes down to the nutrients that make up the food.

Water fasting, intermittent fasting, religious fasting, there are so many ways and reasons to fast.
Most people would like to lose a little weight and in specific a lot of people want to burn fat. Just as important as eating the right things at the right times are not eating the right things too.
Not eating is typically seen as a bad thing something you do when you cant afford to eat.
This is too bad however because fasting has may benefits. Fasting can help you focus by saving your body energy for thinking and problem solving as opposed to getting tired from digesting a big meal. Fasting can help you burn fat and increase natural growth hormones,

it can help your immune system, a friend of mine taught me the benefits of a "cleanse".
This was huge to me becuase many times I would try to eat plant based but my body would still be hungry.

There are many benefits to fasting and it very easy you literally don't have to do anything food wise besides, make a tea once in a while. Magazine Zwuavé definitely endorses fasting.

Most people don't have the time or energy to keep a food journal.
Not keeping a food journal is a big mistake when working towards your fitness goals though.
Food journals are useful because having a specific number of calories you are trying to eat or stay under each day is good.
Having an exact number of calories be your goal throughout the day gives structure to your meals. You can more easily know how many servings you should have to stay on track with your fitness goals.
Food journaling also helps stay healthy because it is easier to keep track of foods you are not supposed to eat or if you keep missing meals you can have a better understanding of your eating habits.

How much attention you pay to what you eat is important to stay on track no matter your goal. Wether you have some New Years Resolution Fitness plans, or special events like weddings, photoshoots, music videos etc we all want to look and feel our best.
