Bitcoin and Etherrum are a type of money or Cryptocurrency. Cryptocurrency is different because the government doesn't print it and it is a digital currency. The concept is that of an IOU. I give you(just as an example) $1000 for one Bitcoin.Now someone can give you your $1000 dollars back for that Bitcoin and it keeps going like that.Their are many benefits to this but one is diversification. The United States Dollar USD$ is not the only currency available and with inflation getting worse everyday this is important that the world is trading in different types of currency. These are deep and complicated concepts but I hope i can give a brief overview
